Care Objectives
- To provide a happy and caring environment, giving respectful physical care to each child. To create a warm, secure setting where a child feels loved and enabled to develop confidence and independence within him/herself. "I care about you as well as for you".
- To value each child as an individual who has the right to be treated equally with regard to religious persuasion, racial origin, special need and cultural background, without racial or gender stereotyping. To respect the views and opinions of every child.
- To promote a Health and Safety culture, that allows a child to experiment with, and investigate, his/her world in a safe environment. To encourage a healthy attitude towards mealtimes and food, respecting different cultures and dietary needs. To develop the social skills involved in enjoying food.
- To encourage the development of the child's personal, social and emotional skills through interaction with other children and adults in the Nursery, by using adults as role models and encouraging imaginative and explorative play.
- To provide a stimulating learning environment with opportunities for children to access a well balanced educational curriculum based on play, both indoors and out, as promoted through the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- To encourage communication between all participants in Nursery life, helping children learn how to express their feelings and share with others. To ensure that adults within the Nursery School communicate their love and respect for the child in all their actions.
- To build partnerships with each parent, carer and staff enabling a child to form attachments with his/her carer. Promoting the use of a Key person for each child to ensure a record is kept of each child's developmental progress in the Nursery. To encourage parents to participate and contribute to their child's portfolio of their achievements at Nursery.
- To work alongside staff, children and parents/carers to promote positive attitudes and experiences for all children in Nursery.
- To be active in the local community, linking with a wide variety of outside agencies, such as local partnerships, schools, libraries, health centres, to create an environment that cares for, and respects, all children and their families.
- Children's Place promotes the ethos of The UN Convention on The rights of the child, in which the United Nations has recognised that childhood is entitled to special care and assistance. Children's Place Day Nurseries strongly believe in all the articles of the Convention.
- To support charitable organisations, encouraging children to develop into confident citizens of the world, who value the planet and all people living on it.
- To invest in and support Children's Place staff team through training and continuous professional development to enable them to provide high quality early years experiences for all children in our care.
- To ensure the economical viability and sustainability of the company through efficent business practices and robust accounting policies, ensuring sound investment in all settings.
