THECHILDRENSPLACE: SUPPORTING FAMILIES & THEIR COMMUNITIES

Quality Assured

Children's Place Day Nurseries pride themselves on their commitment to quality. To ensure this the settings all undertake a number of quality assurance schemes, which consider all aspects of their provision:

Ofsted

OFSTED – All settings within the group are registered and inspected by the Office for Standards in Education.  OFSTED visit settings unannounced and their inspection reports can be viewed on their website.  Children’s Place are proud of their records of good inspections by OFSTED and are continuously seeking ways improving their practice.

The following are just a few quotes from recent ofsted inspections: "Children arrive happily at nursery; they greet their friends and the staff warmly and they quickly settle at their favourite activities." "Because of the effective key worker system, careful liaison with parents and observations of the children as they play and develop, the staff get to know the children and their families very well." "The quality of teaching and learning is outstanding. The staff have an excellent understanding of the Foundation Stage and teaching is rooted around this." "The staff have a secure and thorough understanding of child development and how young children learn. This supports them in planning a challenging and stimulating range of exceptional play opportunities that match children's interests and needs."

Investor in people Investors In People (I.I.P.) - Children's Place has been an Investor in People since 2000, renewing their affiliation every three years. They are committed to staff development and support and the following quotes indicate the high standards maintained in the company:

"A strong sense of feeling values, coming from staff at all levels. Good recognition of staff coming from senior people, through both formal channels, such as awards events and the newsletter, and informally through discussion." "...A high degree of consistency between the different Nurseries, which helps to maintain high standards for the children........"

QC

National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) Quality Counts – Children’s Place have been assessed by the national industry standard at each setting for the quality of it’s early years standards.  This builds upon the OFSTED inspection and enables each individual setting to measure their own performance against industry standards.  Children’s Place Day Nurseries are all in the process of being re-assessed.

Kickstart Calderdale & Kirklees KickStart for Equality - Children's Place are committed to supporting equality in all the nursery settings. This standard recognises that commitment.
