Staff

Children's Place employ highly qualified early years practitioners to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained at all times. Both directors of the company, Debbie Burke and Karen Walker, are involved in the development of standards within the settings and have over 30 years experience between them in the provision of high quality early years environments.

A number of specialists early years teachers work across our settings, supporting teams to ensure the updating of practice and the development of strong strategies for all children in our care to learn and develop in a fun and healthy way.

Staff employed by Children's Place also train both in house and at college or university undertaking national vocational qualifications at levels 2 or 3 as their initial training, then progressing to level 4 and onto foundation degree, full early years degrees and ultimately completing Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), the latest post-graduate early years qualification for professionals in the early years.

Staff have a ready progression programme through the recruitment and appraisal system employed by Children's Place and many staff remain with the company for 10 or more years. The company hold 2 full team-training days per year and encourage all staff to undertake a programme of continuous professional development.
