The children were having a lovely time playing with the small wooden blocks. They were able to pick up the brick between their thumb and fingers and place them on top of each other to make their own creations. The two-year olds at our Summerfield Nursery have been practising their mark making skills. They have been learning how to hold the pen between their finger and thumb and are able to make lines and circular marks on the paper. They have also been practising counting with the help of a few bears!
The children in the Snowdrops room at our Daisy Hill Nursery have really enjoyed playing with shredded paper. They loved throwing it up in the air and feel it land on their faces when it came down on them. They also enjoyed exploring the texture with their hands. Looks a lot of fun!
The children at our St James' Nursery have enjoyed having a hairdressing salon in setting. The children loved interacting with the staff and the other children to create some marvellous hairstyles. Don't they look wonderful?
