Nicola, the owner of Lindley Children’s Bookshop made a special visit to Spring Cottage Nursery as part of their celebrations for World Book Week. Nicola read the children a selection of stories and handed out their free books.
Burnett Fields Nursery have been having a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. The babies at our Daisy Hill Nursery have been exploring with shaving foam. They really enjoyed playing with it on their arms, face and hands and clapping to make it splatter. Looks like a lot of fun!
Recently, the children at our Spring Cottage Nursery were looking at the differences in apples. They agreed that once the apples are cut into they are very similar. Following on from that, the practitioners made a display alongside a mirror. The children can look at themselves and notice the differences between themselves and others.
Owlet Nursery had great fun on World Book Day. They invited parents to their 'Booky' Breakfast. The children proudly showed their mums and dads around their room. World Book Day at our Dewsbury nursery saw lots of different characters joining nursery, from Goldilocks to Elmer. Books are such an enjoyable experience. It was lovely to see friends sharing their favourite stories together whilst sitting in the reading garden. Digital Camera Digital Camera
To help celebrate World Book Day our Barkerend Nursery had a dressing up day. They asked the children to bring in their favourite book so they could all read the stories together. Parents were invited to join in at story times too
The children in Sunflowers room at our Spring Cottage Nursery have been learning about differences. They chose a red and green apple and noticed that they look different from the outside but when the apples were cut into they were exactly the same – a bit like us!
Our Owlet Nursery are holding a special afternoon to celebrate their Mums. Please join them for activities from 3pm on Friday 29th March 2019. A delicious tea of sandwiches and sweet treats will be served at 4pm
