Our St James’ Nursery have had Halloween fun with the children. They enjoyed mixing food colouring with icing to decorate some yummy Halloween biscuits. The biscuits tasted so delicious that some of the biscuits didn’t make it home!
The children and staff all worked as a team to draw out their pumpkin face, scoop all the seeds out and find a terrifying home for their new guests!
The children identified a smell when scooping out the pumpkin so decided to use a spoon rather than their hands. They enjoyed sharing their stories about the pumpkins they had done at home with their families.
Some children thought the seeds were a great resource to use for counting and lining up (once they had got used to the pumpkin smell!).
